Last week we released a new video highlighting some exciting new features in our Lucidity 365 Workspace service. Check out the video below, or read on, as we highlight the new features in this blog post.
The Lucidity 365 workspace continues to offer a range of modern workplace features like:
- Single Sign-On for Cloud Applications
- Custom Branding
- Personalised Workspace
- Microsoft 365 Integration
- RSS Feeds & more
However, over the past couple of months we have released a substantial upgrade to the service which brings in a number of new features!
Personal & Shared Spaces
In our initial release of Lucidity 365, users would receive a single page on which everything they needed to access was present. This could lead to a busy workspace, especially if there were a lot of applications to manage.
This single view has now been extended, and each user can get multiple spaces to access the tools they need. These are labelled as the “Personal Space”, which is a space that you as a user alone will access, and “Shared Spaces”, which is a space that you will access along with your team members.
Personal Space
The Personal Space can be more focused – a typical Personal Space will include things like:
- Personal Mailbox
- Personal Calendar
- Your To-Do list
- Shortcuts to your favourite Apps (with single sign-on)
- Personalised newsfeeds
- Company announcements
- Lucidity Support Tools
This will feature the tools that YOU need during your working day and you can lay this out in whatever way works best for you by dragging and dropping groups of applications and tools to a location of your choosing.
Shared Spaces
Shared Spaces will typically fall in line with your Microsoft 365 Security Groups for permissions etc. This will ensure only those team members who should have access to a Shared Space will be granted access. These security groups may fall under logical team structures e.g. Sales Team, Management Team or IT Team and the permissions will be in line with that structure.
In Shared Spaces you can expect to see:
- Shared Mailboxes
- Shared Calendars
- Access to Team Focused Apps (with single sign-on)
- Power BI Statistics
- Industry or team centric news feeds
- Rich Media Content – e.g. Training Videos / Marketing Videos
By providing access to Team specific content, Lucidity 365 offers an easy, user friendly way to on-board new team members as they will access the tools they need in the same manner as the rest of the team. This makes both on-boarding and on-going training easy for the organisation, as they can offer a consistent user experience to each team and team member.
IT Admins
We have also been developing Shared Spaces for IT Administrators. Using integration to the Microsoft 365 Management Console, we can offer IT administrators transparency and visibility across a range of vectors including:
- Active vs Enabled Users
- Microsoft 365 Licensing Consumption
- Microsoft 365 Tool Utilisation
- Microsoft 365 Storage Utilisation (OneDrive, SharePoint, Exchange)
This will offer IT Admins greater visibility into their Microsoft 365 tenancy, which should facilitate things like cost savings or highlighting areas of need for training.
We will be extending our IT Administration capabilities in Lucidity 365 by integrating with the Microsoft 365 Security & Compliance Centre. This will soon allow us to highlight security concerns at the tenant level including:
- Bad logins & other security alerts
- Compliance to corporate policies
- Overall security score
We also plan to integrate to our network hardware partners APIs to deliver security statistics directly from your firewall. Adding all of this security focused functionality to the Lucidity 365 workspace, will offer IT Admins much more visibility and transparency in managing both their security posture and ensuring the organisation and its users are safeguarded in this cloud first, modern world.
